Get a Free In-Home Estimate

I am usually on a job site, so calls go to voicemail more than I would like. Leave one and you will hear back the same day.

Free, in your home, and usually two or three days out. I measure everything and walk the whole thing with you before anything is priced.

In short

The estimate is free, it happens in your home, and it is usually within two or three days of your call. I come out, measure, and walk the whole thing with you before anything gets priced. Work is priced by the square foot, and you get the estimate before I ask about your budget, deliberately, because I do not want you wondering whether I priced the floor or priced your wallet.

Start here

Three things and you are done

If you do not know what you need yet, pick "not sure" and tell me what the floor is doing. Half the people who call me start there.

What happens next

How a job actually starts

Four steps between your call and a signed contract. The order of the third one is deliberate and it is the part people remember.

01You call or send the formIf I do not pick up I am on a floor. Leave a voicemail and I call back the same day, usually within the hour.
02Free in-home estimateUsually two or three days out. I measure everything and walk through what you are thinking. If you have not picked material yet, I will point you to the places worth going.
03Estimate first, budget secondIn that order, deliberately. I do not want your number before I price it, because then you are always wondering which one I priced. Tell me after, and if it is over where you need to be we will talk about what to change.
04If you go aheadA contract through Adobe eSign, four or five pages, with your dates in it. Every stain color gets signed off before it goes down.
Scope

What I take on

Small jobs and stairs on their own, and how each is priced so nothing in the estimate is a surprise. I do repairs too, though they are not what I chase: ask me and I will tell you honestly whether a repair is the right spend on your floor.

Small jobs

Nothing is too small

There is a minimum for getting a crew and machines to your house, so anything under 500 square feet is priced at a higher rate per square foot. I am still not going to turn down your hallway.

Stairs

Fine on their own

Treads, risers and nosings are their own job and a lot of it is by hand. Plenty of people call about stairs alone after a carpet comes off, and I will take it.

Service area

Where I work

Based in Lake Stevens and working across the Greater Seattle area, north through Arlington and Stanwood.
